Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and customer-focused Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for completing a variety of repair, maintenance, installation, and improvement projects for residential and/or commercial properties.
The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with customers, and can work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects
- Complete basic carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, and fixture-installation work
- Assemble, install, repair, and replace equipment, hardware, fixtures, and building materials
- Diagnose issues and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions
- Prepare work areas, protect customer property, and clean up thoroughly after each project
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and time spent
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding project details, timelines, and recommendations
- Follow all company safety procedures, building codes, and applicable regulations
- Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and inventory in good working condition
- Provide professional, courteous service that reflects positively on the company
- Effective and continues communication with the office clerk or manager
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in handyman services, property maintenance, construction, remodeling, or a related field
- Ability to estimate and price project scopes
- Working knowledge of basic carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, doors, windows, and general repairs
- Ability to read and follow instructions, measurements, and project specifications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and self-motivated
- Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Own professional hand tools
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
